Erasmus+ & FIRST LEGO League development<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ghindeni project represents the international application of the MO\u2019sFIRST<\/strong> approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within an Erasmus+<\/strong> framework, this collaboration focuses on building and strengthening FIRST LEGO League<\/strong> teams in Ghindeni, Romania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project is designed around one core principle:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

to support local growth through knowledge transfer, collaboration, and long-term partnership \u2014 not dependency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Context & ambition<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In Ghindeni, FIRST LEGO League is being developed as a meaningful educational opportunity that combines technology, teamwork, creativity, and communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ambition goes beyond participation in a single competition season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The goal is to establish a sustainable, continuous learning pathway<\/strong>, embedded in the local educational context and carried forward by local coaches and students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MO\u2019sFIRST contributes by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • providing educational structure<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • supporting coaching and team development<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • embedding presentation and reflection<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • aligning with FIRST Core Values<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    International exchange<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    A key milestone in the collaboration was the student exchange<\/strong> that took place last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    During this exchange:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • 10 students from the REborn program (Netherlands)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • and 5 students from Ghindeni (Romania)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      worked together through robotics challenges, workshops, and shared activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      This exchange strengthened:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \n
      • intercultural understanding<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • collaboration across educational systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • confidence and ownership among students<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • mutual learning between teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        It also established trust and a shared foundation for long-term cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Coaching approach<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        The Ghindeni project focuses on capacity building<\/strong> rather than direct control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Coaching and guidance include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • developing FIRST LEGO League team structures<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • guiding robot design and programming processes<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • strengthening research and innovation projects<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • coaching presentation and storytelling skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • mentoring local coaches and educators<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          My background in STEAM education and presentation (including Drama education) plays a key role in supporting teams in communicating their ideas clearly and confidently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n\n\n\n

          Annual on-site support<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          To ensure continuity and further development, a long-term agreement has been established.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          I now visit Ghindeni annually, around June<\/strong>, to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            \n
          • work directly with students and teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • support coaches in further development<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • reflect on the previous season<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • prepare teams for the upcoming FIRST LEGO League cycle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            This annual presence helps consolidate progress and supports steady growth year after year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            \n\n\n\n

            Sustainability & local ownership<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

            The long-term objective of the Ghindeni project is independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            MO\u2019sFIRST actively supports:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              \n
            • local leadership<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • coach training<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • knowledge transfer<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • gradual reduction of external dependency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

              By combining on-site visits, remote support, and international exchange, the project builds a self-sustaining FIRST LEGO League ecosystem<\/strong> adapted to local needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              International perspective<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

              The Ghindeni collaboration demonstrates how FIRST LEGO League can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              • support European cooperation through Erasmus+<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • create equal access to high-quality STEAM education<\/li>\n\n\n\n

                It also reflects the broader MO\u2019sFIRST vision:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                to develop robotics education that is transferable, scalable, and rooted in collaboration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Ghindeni, Romania is an active and forward-looking program within MO\u2019sFIRST<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Together with completed projects such as REborn<\/strong>, it shows how experience gained in one context can be meaningfully applied in another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                This is not a one-off initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
